I need activities that can help teach money skills to blind, multiply handicapped students.? They are older, from 17-22, and are learning to count coins to $1.00. All of the activities that are commercially available use worksheets (which they cannot see) or use Braille (which they cannot read.) Other than just giving them coins to count over and over (SO BORING) -- does anyone have some suggestions for neat activities that we could use to break up the monotony? We have used coins to count by 5s, 10s, and it will take them still a couple of months to "get it" and I don't want them to be so bored. Ideas?

Good ways for a teen to make money during school year (without an actual job?) I'm a teen. I need money. But I'm also started school in about a week, and I'm taking almost all college classes in high school. So obviously, I'm going to be busy studying my life away. But on the rare occasion that I might get to do something, I will probably need money to do it and currently have none. Hence the need to ask: how can I make money without getting an actual job (since I don't have time for one)? And yes, I've tried all of the following: babysitting, lemonade stand, and selling random stuff. None of them provided a very steady cash flow if ya know what I mean. I need activities and ideas to teach money...? 2nd grade? I'm trying to get some ideas to teach money to 2nd graders with LD and ADHD. I am starting the unit by teaching them how to identify coins and their values. Also, I want them to be able to make combinations and count sets of coins up to $1.00 for now. How do I make Excel web-query financial information? I'm trying to use Excel worksheets to gather financial information on companies from Yahoo Finance, MSN Money, Reuters etc. However, I want to make the worksheet pull information on whatever company symbol I enter? Why do colleges make their own books? Especially if it's the same as the last edition except there's another book in the back with worksheets. It costs two times more than the regular book, it has the same questions, chapters, everything. Is this yet another way for community colleges to make money? Can I file my mom as a dependant? I'm 24 years old. My mom has been trying to get disability benefits from the goverment for some time. She's on HUD , Medicare/Medicad (I think it's both), and Food Stamps. Other than that, I give her money every week, so she has spending money abd gas to get around. I also pay her phone bill and her insurance. I've been wondering if I can file her as a dependant. According to the worksheets and everything I've read, I can file her as one, but I'm not sure if it will affect her case (She won the case, recently, btw) I know she's not going to fine, since she has no income. Can my teacher be sued for taking money to make grades higher? Hello. I have a question reguarding an incident occuring at my school. I recently have been harassed about giving money to my gym teacher because she raised my grade. What happened was when it came down to the end of the quarter she read the grades aloud and i was un happy. I spoke with her after that class and she said if i gave her $100 dollars that she would use 20 for each class i missed to fix my grades. I then got a perfect grade for gym. However, i never paid her and she knew it would take me a while to get. The next day after i asked her about paying her(i thought she wasnt serious after this part) she assigned me 5 very large packets of worksheets about sports. I completed them in one night after working on it for hours. i handed them in expecting to be squared off. I apparently was not. She told me i still had to pay and still asks me every few days about it. I was wondering if this was against the law and if so what exact law. I live in pennsylvania. What is the formula to convert currency when using Microsoft Excel? I am doing an assignment for my spreadsheet class. I have to think of countries I would like to visit and enter their cash equivalent to $1 USD. Hello, Once I have came from Russia to Canada on October 2008, I have worked for my step-dad and my mother's telephone company( i just helped them out and they paid me cash, i was not allowed to work legally). Regarding divorced parents and child daycare: By law, who can claim the daycare expense each year? I am not the custodial parent, but my child support is current and a portion of it is factored in as daycare support (specified in the support calculation worksheet). Her attorney and accountant say because she pays for the daycare from her bank account, she can claim it every year as an expense, but the money is in her account because of my support payments. Does anyone like this money saving method and/or have any other ways of saving money? I call it additional savings, and wrote a Microsoft excel worksheet for it. If you save $1 (it works for any currency since its just a numbers scheme.) tommorow you deposit $2, the next day/time, you put in $3, and each time increase it $1. When you can no longer increase another [dollar] reset back to $1 or any lower number and repeat the process until you hit the cieling. At 50 times when you deposit $50, your balance is $1275.00, at the $100 deposit your balance in $5050.00.That jump is a quadruple. In fact about every 10 days, and amount quadruples. And the account you deposit into probably earns interest. What do you think of this, and have you any better ideas? That last questions isn't necessarilty sarcastic, but a genuine question.

They said I owed money and I knew that could not be right cuz I had only worked about 6months at burger king so I went to HR Block and got a full return. Do we bring in too much money to do a short sale? I was out of work for almost 5 months, which really put us behind, but we never missed a mortgage payment. Now I have a job, but we want out. Our condo fees have gone up and our condo is now worth almost $100,000 less than we paid for it. We'll never recoup what we bought for. If we do a short sale and the bank sees that we now have two incomes, enough to pay the mortgage, will the say no? I know they will look at our bank statements and ask for a worksheet of our monthly expenses, etc, etc. But, is that the criteria for them working with you? That you have to have higher expense than income? Currently we have no car payment, but one of our cars is on it's last leg. Should we go buy a new(er) car so that it brings our expenses up? How to deal with abusive parents? I am 16. My parents pay quite a lot of money for my school (around 25 000 US$ every year).I am not really that good at school, but my dad who pays the money for my school always just comes in and goes, if u dont get good grades i will change ur school, or i spend soo much money for you and you still only get normal grades and not high grades. (He somehow just naturally expects me to get like 100% in everything). I am going to 11th grade next year and i am just like good at maths but the math standard at my school is very very high, and there is 3 levels of math classes i originally only got into the lowest one of them three, but the school said that if i train through some worksheets during my summer and at the end of summer holidays trained through them, i would have to write a test and that would determine what maths class i got into. I have written the test and i did do well in that test. When i got back my dad started asking me all these questions about school next year and when we got to maths he was like ok how many people got into the highest maths class? and only 3-4 out of like 40 people got in it because its soo hard. and about 15 people got in the middle one. And he started to ask me like y cant u be like them and y couldn't u even get to the middle level. And he asked the same question like 4 times i didnt know what to answer him cause. I got really out of control and said I on purposely got bad grades so that i could sit back. I mean i was really frustrated of him asking all these questions. Now he has said that if i dont get high grades in the first semester of school i will be going back to my home country India and i really dont want to cause i have lived all my life in other countries. Taxes - larger refund than what was taken out? I'm a full-time independent student. When I do my tax worksheet, without even claiming the tuition deduction, I get all the money back that was taken out of my checks for federal income tax. What do I need to put on my New York State IT-2104 tax withholding form to increase amount withheld from pay? My husband and I both work a full-time job and we both have a part-time home business. We have enough federal taxes withheld to cover our business taxes plus sometimes a refund. But we always come up short on the New York State taxes and owe something. What do we need to put on our New York State IT-2104 tax forms at our respective jobs to make sure they take out more, not less, money from the paychecks? Neither of us is on a salary, so it is hard to determine during or at the beginning of the year which one will make the higher salary. We do not make over the amount required to request additional withholding with the chart on the bottom of the IT-2104 2007 worksheet, so that does not apply to us. But I'm sick of borrowing Peter to pay Paul every year when taxes come around. I'd rather have too much withheld. The print-out and a debit card. I owe $388 because I took early withdrawal of IRA funds due to disability. I have some disability documents I am homeless and the grant from the county is $300 a month. I would have to pay the tax bill out of the welfare money -- a definitive economic hardship. I don't have to pay the $150 filing fee because my only income is welfare and that is below the federal poverty line. The income levels are on the worksheet. So it's worth a try.

The attorney that he selected tends to range from nice to rude, especially when we don't understand an issue. He tends to be a bit pompous when he responds to us. He missed one major creditor that had to be added in as an amendment (property taxes) and failed to calculate the correct amount of monies paid to creditors in the past 90 days. He saw the property tax statement and gave it back to me, and we didn't add it in the worksheet. I gave him a list of creditors and amounts that we had paid in that time frame, but he only filed our statement of income showing one payment per creditor. Our meeting of creditors is in 20 days. I have considered firing him and getting another attorney. Can I get a refund on his fees from him? Is it possible to have another attorney review our bankruptcy paperwork (second opinion) before being finalized to make sure everything is correct before we find another mistake or the court finds one?
